Anasazi is a great place to check into for a life changing experience for both teens and parents. My wife and I were lucky enough to experience it twice.

  Philips 50" Plasma TV Fuse

I have a model Philips 50PF9630A (50PF9630A/37) 50" Plasma TV with "Ambilight". One day it shut off and wouldn't turn on again. The power button on the side did nothing discernible (no light, LED, click or any other sound). Since the TV is out of warranty I decided to try and see if there was a fuse I could change myself. After taking the TV off the wall mounting bracket I removed the back (about 30 screws) and found a fuse which was blown (no continuity on my multi-meter). I first replaced it with a ordinary 5mmx20mm glass fuse (rated with the same amperage and voltage (8A 250V) and the TV worked fine. The original fuse is ceramic and is marked with T8AH250VP which has exactly 1 hit on Google. "T8AH fuse" produces many hits. I'm pretty sure the it is a "time-lag, high-rupture rated" but I'm not sure what the "P" is for. Intermountain Fuse Supply, Inc. (http://www.intermtnfuse.com/) has replacement fuses for $3.12 but they come in packs of 5.

Here is a photo of the inside of my TV, click on it for a higher res image:

Just stuff.
